We are excited to share that Anna Ponomarev won an award at the 2025 ABRCMS for best chemistry poster! She has worked on her project for quite some time now, focused on expanding the RE4IrInGe4 (RE = Y, Ce–Nd, Sm, Gd, Ho–Er) system.

Our high school students Joseph Oziel and Yujing Sun gave poster and oral presentations regarding their work over the last school year as well at the 2025 POSHSS! Yujing presented on “Exploring Feature Engineering for Crystal Structure Classification: Interactive Applications of PCA and PLS-DA Clustering” and Joseph presented on both “Improving Structural Predictions with KNN-Enhanced SISSO Models” and “Systematic Ternary Exploration of Gd–Os–Ge with Novel Phases”
